Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Business Controller to govern monthly P&L close, maintain clean accounting records, and monitor finance health metrics across multiple countries. You will collaborate with the customer experience team and management to optimize profitability of the SCM products.

The role requires accounting/finance expertise, strong Excel/BI skills, and fluent English. Experience with SAP and BI is advantageous, with a dynamic, cross-cultural, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Accounting/finance degree and accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of reporting concepts internally and externally.
• Problem solving.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency; Power BI is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience with SAP & BI is advantageous.
• Logistics experience is a plus.
• Thrives on challenges with urgency and accountability.
• Able to work across multiple countries and cultures.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance and control over monthly P&L closing.
• Ensure clean file management and track finance health metrics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize product profitability.
• Create transparency on profitability at job, customer and area levels.
• Perform job costing analyses and enforce costing controls.
• Support profitability/margin analysis and daily gross profit reviews.
• Drive upstream process improvements and standard governance.
• Engage with business partners to meet requirements.
• Lead improvement projects across a multinational organisation.
