Global Partner Engineering Manager, Payments
the company is seeking a Global Manager for the Payments Partner Engineering team. This role requires a leader with a solid technical foundation, deep operational instincts, and a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams. You will be responsible for the health of the company's payment partner integrations — spanning global card schemes, banks, wallets, local and alternative payment methods — and for evolving the Partner Engineering function to reduce reactive operational work to proactively addressing partner integration health.
As the leader of the global Payments Partner Eng team, you will manage a team of Payment Partner Engineers who serve as the company's technical point of accountability for payment partner integrations. Your goal will be to drive integration reliability and performance across the company's global payment method portfolio, while building the tools, processes, and capabilities that allow the team to scale. This position requires a blend of leadership, technical and payments domain depth, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and external payment partners.
This role is critical in ensuring the company's payment partner integrations meet the reliability and performance standards that underpin our merchant value proposition. The ideal candidate has led technical, cross-functional teams in complex environments, understands payments and API-based integrations, and brings a proactive, high-agency mindset to building a team and function from a still-early stage.
