Job summary

Hitachi Energy The Netherlands B.V. seeks an experienced indirect tax professional to shape and lead our global indirect tax strategy from Rotterdam. You will guide tax optimization across borders and collaborate with tax managers and external advisors.

You will also drive technology-enabled tax processes, leveraging SAP S/4 HANA and Vertex, while ensuring compliance and scalable tax solutions within a multinational framework.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of international indirect tax experience.
• Degree in Economics, Finance, or Law with taxation focus.
• Strong knowledge of EU VAT Directive.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute strategy for the indirect tax function.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders on indirect tax optimization.
• Lead projects with tax managers and external advisors.
• Leverage SAP S/4 HANA and Vertex for tax technology.
