Job summary

Innovation Cluster Drachten in Groningen seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, configure and maintain high-tech sensing and robotic systems for the global packaging glass industry. You prepare installations, interact with customers, and provide user training and ongoing support.

You will travel approximately 30% of your time worldwide to install on-site or supervise installations from Groningen. A strong background in electronics, mechanics and IT plus a B driving license and Dutch/English

Qualifications

• MBO+ level with focus on electronics, mechanics or IT.
• Excellent Dutch and English communication.
• Willingness to travel about 30% of the time worldwide.
• Valid driving license B.
• Resident in/around Groningen.

Responsibilities

• From our office in Groningen you ensure proper preparation of the installation and maintain documentation.
• At our customer you install independently per plan, or supervise from Groningen.
• Teach users to operate our technologies and provide maintenance training.
• Remain the point of contact for the customer, performing support and service.
• Prepare reports and travel to customer sites as required.
