Job summary

Booking.com is seeking an enthusiastic Direct Tax Accounting Controller for the Global Accounting team in Amsterdam. You will manage global tax accounting, current and deferred income tax calculations, and related compliance within a multinational environment.

You will collaborate with tax managers and finance stakeholders, coach team members, and support statutory reporting. Strong English communication and SAP experience are essential. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics; RA/CPA preferred.
• Approximately 5–7 years’ experience in finance, preferably tax accounting in a multinational.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and statutory reporting.
• Experience in an international matrix organization and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage global tax accounting and income tax return filings.
• Lead current and deferred income tax calculations and ETRs.
• Standardize processes and automate tax-related tasks.
• Identify and drive process improvements in accounting and finance.
