Job summary
Cargo Care Solutions is the international maritime industry specialist in service and parts for cargo access systems, cargo pump systems and hydraulics. MARPRO is seeking a Service Engineer Deepwell Pumps to join their Pumps Division, where you will take care of inspection, service, maintenance and repair of deepwell pumps in ports or at shipyards all over the world.
Your job requires frequent travel; you attend vessel dockings or board ships in ports to perform inspections and troubleshooting,
Qualifications
- Relevant working experience.
- Fluent English; Dutch or additional language skills are a plus.
- Read construction drawings, manuals and hydraulic schemes.
- Ability to report service activities in writing.
- Willingness to travel abroad frequently.
- Strong customer focus and service mindset.
- Experience with hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Able to work independently and responsibly.
- Able to work under pressure and safety focused.
Responsibilities
- Inspection, maintenance, repair, upgrades and service of deepwell pumps (any brand).
- Describe issues clearly in your report to clients.
- Recommend future replacement of parts, scope of service/repair work and possible material upgrades.
- Safety assessment to the best of your ability.
- Work safely and responsibly according to procedures.
- Occasional voyage repairs.
- Reconditioning of impeller, mechanical seals and shafts if applicable.
