Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a hands-on Commissioning Engineer to support testing and commissioning of electrical power distribution systems for large-scale data center projects across EMEA, with a current Nordic focus. You will work on-site to ensure installations meet technical specs, safety and quality standards, and will coordinate with clients and subcontractors.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, MV testing experience, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent vocational qualification with substantial relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience in electrical testing and commissioning of medium-voltage systems.
• Experience with medium-voltage switchgear; Siemens NXR and 8DJH familiarity is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical testing methods and Omicron equipment.
• Experience in data centers, substations, or industrial power distribution is advantageous.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with international teams.
• English on-site is required; EU passport and willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning activities on medium-voltage power distribution equipment and protection systems.
• Verify functionality, performance, and safety of electrical installations per technical requirements.
• Conduct electrical tests and troubleshoot issues identified during commissioning.
• Work with protection relays, upload pre-configured settings, and support verification of protection systems.
• Coordinate on-site activities with client representatives, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Document test results and report issues for the handover of commissioned equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards; travel extensively for international projects.
