Job summary

Adyen’s Global Marketing team is seeking an experienced leader to steer the Studio's writing arm. Based in Amsterdam, this role plans and coordinates content projects, translating complex product propositions into clear, action-driving material for global audiences.

You will mentor a matrixed team, guard our tone of voice, and collaborate with marketeers and agencies to deliver high-quality content across formats.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the production of content projects from brief to launch in collaboration with the Studio Leadership Team.
• Develop and own our global content strategy aimed at translating complex product and commercial propositions into easy to understand, memorable experiences that drive action with our business target audiences.
• Lead, inspire and mentor a matrixed content team, reviewing, editing, and conceptualizing work that is on-brand and aligned to our commercial goals.
• Be a guardian of the Adyen tone of voice and content related guidelines, responsible for evolving these in accordance with business needs.
• Collaborate closely with our global marketeers and local markets to understand their content requirements, turning these into actionable plans and creative activations.
• Work with agency partners and freelancers to deliver a consistently high standard of creative work.

Adyen’s Global Marketing team consists of multiple disciplines working together to enable local marketing teams around the world with the resources, strategic frameworks, and subject matter expertise they need to drive demand and retention. Our in-house creative Studio is responsible for bringing these programs to life through creation of reports, assets for events, online videos, case studies, blogs, and more.

The studio consists of two sub-teams: on the one hand there’s the Design team that takes care of visuals and on the other there’s our Content team, comprising writers & content managers. We’re looking for an experienced team lead to steer that writing arm of our Studio.

What you’ll do

• Plan and coordinate the production of content projects from brief to launch in collaboration with the Studio Leadership Team.
• Develop and own our global content strategy aimed at translating complex product and commercial propositions into easy to understand, memorable experiences that drive action with our business target audiences. This includes but is not limited to guides, case studies, web & digital, videos, events,, and social content.
• Lead, inspire and mentor a matrixed content team, reviewing, editing, and conceptualizing work that is on-brand and aligned to our commercial goals.
• Be a guardian of the Adyen tone of voice and content related guidelines, responsible for evolving these in accordance with business needs.
• Collaborate closely with our global marketeers and local markets to understand their content requirements, turning these into actionable plans and creative activations.
• Work with agency partners and freelancers to deliver a consistently high standard of creative work.

Who you are

• You embody the Adyen Formula , love to collaborate, and believe winning is more important than ego.
• You have 7+ years of experience directly leading content teams, you know how to manage stakeholders, and you're familiar with leading & influencing across regions and timezones.
• You have a passion for investigating and solving customer problems (both our B2B target audience as well as our internal clients).
• You have the ability to grasp complex, technical subjects and distill them into meaningful stories, collateral, and messaging.
• You are a brand thinker, you understand strategy, brand positioning, and know how to create effective and persuasive creative that is aligned to commercial goals.
• You are detail oriented and able to thrive in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
• You are able to work with a high degree of autonomy, and know how to navigate ambiguous situations.
• You have full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English.

• This role is based out of the Amsterdam office. We have a hybrid workplace and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.
