Job summary

Samskip is hiring a Truck Planner Container to plan, coordinate and monitor daily container trucking activities for import/export movements. You will ensure loading/unloading slots, terminal deadlines and customer priorities are reflected in planning.

The role requires strong planning, organization and communication skills, with Dutch and English proficiency; German or other languages are a plus. You will work closely with drivers, terminals, Customer Service and Operations in an international

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant qualification and/or experience in transport, logistics or related field.
• Experience in container trucking or road transport planning is advantageous.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to operational constraints.
• Clear communication with drivers, customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily container trucking activities, incl. import/export movements and terminal-related transport.
• Create efficient transport schedules, routes and job combinations taking constraints and costs into account.
• Monitor progress and proactively address delays, deviations or disruptions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and timely updates.
• Maintain planning records and update systems with transport statuses and changes.
