Job summary

GKN’s EWIS Procurement team seeks a Commodity Buyer to lead category strategy across Electrics and Electronics, reporting to Global Commodity Director. You will manage >£10m expenditure and drive value through contractual governance and supplier performance.

Responsibilities include category management, pan-site sourcing, and supplier engagement within a matrix of Site-based procurement and Global Commodity teams. Strong commercial and contractual skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced procurement practitioner with deep knowledge of strategic, operational and tactical procurement processes and systems.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Highly commercial with a track record of unlocking value through procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies to maximize value for the business.
• Lead pan-site sourcing activity and design fit-for-purpose supply contracts.
• Implement and manage pan-Business Line contracts across sites.
• Support bid activity for significant category requirements.
