Corporate Recruiter @The Vegetarian Butcher Collective | Industrial and Organizational Psychology
In 2025, a new chapter began: De Vegetarische Slager and Vivera merged and joined forces under the new identity The Vegetarian Butcher Collective. Two pioneers in plant-based food that reinforce each other, while each brand retains its own unique character. Our collective stands for craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, passion, humour, sustainability and pioneering. Together, we are accelerating the biggest food revolution ever. With creativity, courage and conviction, we create products that are loved for their taste and trusted for their nutritional value.
By now we are present in roughly 55 markets, partnering with some of the biggest global (food) chains like Burger King, Subway, and Domino’s. In this journey we are expanding & growing, therefore we are looking for a Global Business Development Lead who has the passion to change the world!
Are you ready to embark on an ambitious journey, where your energy, perseverance, and boldness will shape new possibilities?
Responsibilities
- You take ownership of end-to-end international partnerships with leading brands in the food industry. You think big, but act pragmatically. Working with global players such as Subway, Domino’s, and Pizza Hut, you translate ambition into impactful, scalable business opportunities together with a strong cross-functional team.
- You develop commercial strategies that don’t end up in a drawer, but come to life in the market. From winning business models to a well-balanced portfolio and pricing strategy. You are confident in making clear choices around commercial priorities and business plans, and you execute with excellence.
- You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You proactively drive new sales opportunities, build compelling proposals, presentations and analyses, and take the lead in key customer meetings and pitches. You learn by doing and grow by taking ownership.
- You define clear KPI’s for international expansion and closely track execution and results. What works gets scaled. What can be improved gets addressed immediately. In doing so, you ensure markets and teams are fully equipped to win key customers and channels.
- You also develop strong customer plans and commercial playbooks, fostering learning and sharing across the customer teams. You help build repeatable structures that accelerate growth, without losing the entrepreneurial mindset.
- In this role, you play a visible and influential part in the international growth of The Vegetarian Butcher. You work closely with Marketing, Finance, R&D and Supply Chain, connecting strategy with execution across multiple stakeholders.
- You report to the Commercial Director and will lead a team of Business Development managers.
Who are you?
You are a driven, ambitious professional who loves making things happen. You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on mentality, and you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get results. You thrive in dynamic, cross-functional environments and enjoy building strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
You bring
- A strong customer and consumer focus, with the ability to create impact in direct interactions.
- Excellent project management skills and experience working with international, cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership and line management experience, with a coaching style that empowers people and fosters growth.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with full professional fluency in English.
- Analytical, structured thinking and the ability to turn insight into action.
- Commercial savviness, entrepreneurial drive, and perseverance to grow both new and existing accounts.
- Good negotiation skills, and an ability to influence also in informal decision structures.
- A hands-on, can-do attitude. You get things done while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
- A genuine passion for our mission: creating a better world through plant-based food that tastes amazing.
