Job summary

Fitura is seeking a Data Scientist / Data Engineer in Utrecht, Netherlands to develop and optimize the international data model for detecting money laundering and financing activities. You will work within a cross-functional team to connect large data flows, build scalable pipelines, and onboard new regions into a central monorepository.

The role requires a Master’s in a STEM field, 4+ years of relevant experience, strong PySpark production experience, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a STEM field (CS/AI/Math/Info Studies)
• 4+ years of relevant experience as Data Scientist or Data Engineer
• Proficiency in PySpark and production-grade data transformations
• Professional English communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Data model development for international transaction monitoring across global sources
• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using PySpark, Python, Databricks and Airflow
• Coordinate with data producers and support developers building transaction monitoring logic
• Contribute to monorepository structure and onboard new regions into the data model framework
