Job summary

Avantium is a pioneer in renewable and sustainable chemistry. As a GL Accountant, you join a compact Finance team, working close to the numbers and the people who behind them, strengthening the financial foundation and translating complexity into clear output.

You bring 5–8 years in general ledger, IFRS expertise, Big 8 audit experience, familiarity with Business Central and a keen interest in AI tools to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Background in Big 8 audit or advisory is a strong advantage.
• Affinity with, or experience in, Business Central.
• Interest in AI tools to improve Finance processes.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve key general ledger accounting activities.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes.
• Contribute to IFRS-based reporting and external audit preparation.
• Bring structure to processes, reconciliations and reporting routines.
• Use systems, data and smart tools to make Finance simpler and stronger.
