Job summary

NCI Agency is seeking a Geospatial Data Specialist for an on-premises role in Den Haag. You will manage geospatial data production and maintenance using ESRI ArcGIS Desktop (ArcGIS Pro) and related tools, ensuring data quality across projects.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Sciences or related field with substantial experience, strong English, and ability to work in a multinational environment. Office software skills and data transfer/backup familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Sciences or related field with 2 years post-related experience, or 6 years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years professional experience in geospatial data management.
• Minimum 3-year experience on the ESRI Enterprise SW Suite including desktop and server components used for geospatial data production and maintenance.
• Solid understanding of geographic matters: data types, coordinate systems, projections, metadata.
• Experience with vector and raster GIS data formats.
• Expert level GIS database management.
• Quality assurance and quality control in geospatial data.
• Ability to assess accuracy of high-resolution geospatial products.
• Vector and raster data manipulation expertise.
• Familiarity with backup strategies and data transfer tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in the area of Geospatial Sciences or related field and 2 years post-related experience. Alternatively, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
• At least 3 years professional experience in the area of geospatial data management
• Minimum 3-year experience on the ESRI Enterprise SW Suite including desktop and server components used for geospatial data production and maintenance
• Solid understanding of geographic matters: data types, coordinate systems, projections, metadata
• Solid experience with different GI data formats for vector and raster
• Expert level experience in GIS database management
• Solid experience in quality assurance and quality control in Geospatial data
• Expert level understanding of assessing accuracy of High-Resolution geospatial products
• Expert level understanding of vector data manipulation
