Job summary

Geo-ICT Training Center in the Netherlands invites applications for a GeoAI instructor. You will teach concepts and techniques related to GeoAI, including applying AI to geospatial data and developing models for spatial analysis, both in Apeldoorn and in virtual classrooms.

The role requires a completed MSc, fluent Dutch, and strong programming in Python and R. Teaching experience is a plus; we provide training and encourage independent as well as collaborative work in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• Must hold MSc (mandatory).
• Strong programming skills in Python and R.
• Experience with ML models and geospatial data is required or beneficial.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Willing to teach adults in person and online.

Responsibilities

• Teach GeoAI concepts and techniques to groups of adults.
• Develop and deliver practical exercises and projects.
• Assist students in Apeldoorn and virtual classrooms.
• Update course materials and stay current with GeoAI advances.

Job description

As a GeoAI instructor, you will be responsible for teaching concepts and techniques related to GeoAI, including the application of AI to geospatial data, the development of models for spatial analysis, and the integration of advanced technologies with traditional geographic information systems.

• Expert in Python and R programming
• Gain practical experience in developing machine learning models
• Expertise in AI specifically for applications involving geographic data

Who are you?

• At least a completed master’s degree (MSc) (mandatory requirement))
• Relevant fields of study
• You have a good command of the Dutch language (mandatory requirement)
• Teaching experience is definitely a plus
• Work experience is not required; we will train you
• You have learned to program and/or gained knowledge of GeoAI
• You can keep a cool head during busy periods and enjoy working both independently and in a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to network effectively and build relationships
• A driven, proactive, and results-oriented attitude
