Job summary

NL Health Services - Labrador-Grenfell Zone is seeking a General Surgeon to join the Labrador West Health Centre in Labrador City, NL. The role offers a varied surgical caseload and an opportunity to contribute to high-quality surgical care across the region.

The successful candidate must be eligible for CPSNL registration, hold an MD, and be prepared to travel to other sites for service delivery, with on-call duties and telehealth responsibilities as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary

Qualifications

• MD degree from a recognized institution.
• Eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (CPSNL).
• Satisfactory credentialing and conduct by Zone.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise surgical procedures.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care.
• Act as consultant to other physicians.
• Deliver telehealth services.
• On-call coverage for General Surgery including weekends and holidays.
