Job summary

Patagonia in Amsterdam is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for its EMEA entities. You will handle fixed asset accounting, intercompany recharges, and month-end closings while enhancing internal controls and process automation.

You will work in a hybrid setup, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity, support audits, and drive improvements across accounting processes.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of EMEA internal accounting principles and controls.
• Experience with fixed asset, accrual, and intercompany accounting processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and automated reconciliation tools (e.g., Blackline).
• Adept at analysis, problem solving, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage fixed asset accounting and intercompany recharges with accurate record keeping.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reviews and close checklists, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Lead month-end close activities including lease accounting and tax provisions when needed.
• Drive internal controls and automation initiatives, collaborating with IT and finance teams.
• Support internal and external audits and respond to US finance requests as needed.
