Overview
We are seeking an experienced GCP Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will play a key role in advising clients, shaping cloud strategy, and guiding technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
What you’ll do
- Design cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
- Translate business and technical requirements into well-architected solutions.
- Provide guidance on cloud adoption, migration, and modernisation strategies.
- Lead technical discussions with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Define governance, security, and compliance frameworks for cloud solutions.
- Oversee the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices.
- Support pre-sales activities by contributing to proposals, solution designs, and client presentations.
- Mentor and support engineering teams, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Stay current with emerging GCP services and industry trends, applying them to improve solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Extensive experience architecting and delivering solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Proficient with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
- Solid experience with networking, identity and access management, and security best practices.
- Skilled in designing data architectures using BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, and data pipelines.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Cloud Build.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all levels.
- Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written) – this is mandatory.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
- GCP certification (e.g. Professional Cloud Architect) strongly preferred.
