Overview

We are seeking an experienced GCP Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will play a key role in advising clients, shaping cloud strategy, and guiding technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

What you’ll do

• Design cloud architectures on Google Cloud Platform that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Translate business and technical requirements into well-architected solutions.
• Provide guidance on cloud adoption, migration, and modernisation strategies.
• Lead technical discussions with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Define governance, security, and compliance frameworks for cloud solutions.
• Oversee the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Support pre-sales activities by contributing to proposals, solution designs, and client presentations.
• Mentor and support engineering teams, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Stay current with emerging GCP services and industry trends, applying them to improve solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Extensive experience architecting and delivering solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Proficient with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
• Solid experience with networking, identity and access management, and security best practices.
• Skilled in designing data architectures using BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, and data pipelines.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Cloud Build.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all levels.
• Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written) – this is mandatory.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
• GCP certification (e.g. Professional Cloud Architect) strongly preferred.
