Job summary

GamePoint Development in the Netherlands is seeking a Game Artist Intern to support creating engaging visual content for games used by hundreds of thousands of users daily.

You will collaborate with experienced artists, designers, and developers to bring game concepts to life, from UI elements to in-game assets and animations, gaining hands-on experience in a professional game studio environment.

Qualifications

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Game Art, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Portfolio showcasing 2D art, UI, or animation.
• Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software.
• Basic understanding of game design principles and player experience.
• Knowledge of animation tools (Spine, After Effects) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating 2D game assets such as characters, icons, and environments
• Support the design of user interface (UI) elements and layouts
• Work with senior artists to refine and polish visual content
• Help implement assets into the game engine with the development team
• Contribute to maintaining visual consistency across projects
• Optimize graphics for performance across multiple platforms
• Participate in brainstorming and concept development sessions
• Be part of the development process from concept to final implementation
• Work in scrum teams and collaborate with different departments
