Job summary

Circularise, a supply chain traceability startup, is seeking a product engineer comfortable with front and back end work. You’ll contribute to the full lifecycle from problem definition to production, collaborating with product managers and customers to shape features for digital product passports and mass balance reports.

You’ll write scalable code, review peers, and help translate user needs into robust software.

Qualifications

• Strong coding ability across frontend and backend.
• Experience at startups or early-stage environments.
• Ability to read unfamiliar codebases and fix issues quickly.
• Focus on user needs and outcomes when building features.
• Clear written communication with engineers, PMs, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Build frontend and backend features—React components, REST API endpoints, database design.
• Take features from problem definition to production: scoping, building, testing, shipping.
• Collaborate with customer success, sales, and product teams to understand needs.
• Write code that is tested and readable.
• Review others' code and provide constructive feedback.
• Come into our office in The Hague once a week.
