Job summary

AirBill is seeking a senior, hands-on full-stack developer to take features from idea to production. You will design, build, test and ship across web and mobile platforms, and work closely with the founders to validate ideas.

You will work on React/Next.js web apps, React Native mobile apps, and Node.js/NestJS back-end services on Supabase/Postgres, integrating with banking and fintech systems. Fully remote within the Netherlands with a competitive salary and AI tools budget.

About AirBill

AirBill is building the agentic accounting company for EU entrepreneurs. We handle bookkeeping and tax filings for EU SME segment. Bank data flows in, transactions are processed and booked, and VAT returns, CIT returns, corporate fillings are filed directly with the relevant authorities. A network of accountants reviews and signs off on that work, so clients get the speed of software with the certainty of a professional.

Next, we want clients to be able to connect their own AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT) to AirBill via MCP, for example to find missing receipts in their inbox. The ledger and filings stay rock-solid at the core.

The role

We're looking for a senior, hands-on full-stack developer who wants real ownership. You'll take features from idea to production: design, build, test and ship. You'll also be someone the founders can test ideas against, and who pushes back when needed.

What you'll work on

• Product across our web app (React/Next.js) and mobile app (React Native)
• Backend services in Node.js/NestJS on Supabase/Postgres
• Integrations that matter: bank data (PSD2), Exact, Twinfield and Digipoort
• Reliable background jobs for transaction processing, reconciliation and filings
• Our MCP layer, so clients can connect their own AI agents to their administration
• Keeping security, data integrity and maintainability high while moving fast

What we're looking for

• Senior full-stack experience with strong TypeScript, React/Next.js and Node.js
• Comfortable working on React Native mobile apps
• Strong backend fundamentals: database design, authentication, API integrations and reliable background jobs
• You can own a feature end-to-end, from idea through implementation, testing and release, without constant direction
• Good product sense: you care about making things simple and useful, not just technically correct
• Pragmatic about architecture: you move quickly without compromising data integrity, security or maintainability
• You communicate clearly, challenge ideas and flag problems early
• You use AI coding tools effectively and take full responsibility for understanding and verifying the code they produce

Nice to have

• NestJS and Supabase/Postgres experience
• Startup experience
• Background in fintech, accounting or another domain where correctness really matters

• €80,000–€95,000 gross per year, excl. 8% holiday allowance
