Job summary

Teamlead, based in Rotterdam, is looking for a developer to join a small, ambitious team and own the whole product—from database to screen and from idea to production. You’ll ship live with customers on three continents within a month, work AI-native with Claude Code or Codex, and contribute to Django back end and React front end.

The role rewards ownership, fast learning, and direct impact on a product used across multiple countries.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of development experience, or less if you can show what you built.
• Experience with Python, ideally Django, and with React.
• Build with AI agents such as Claude Code or Codex daily and know when not to trust them.
• Fast learner and solution-oriented.
• Independent and take ownership of what you deliver.
• Good Dutch and English; customers in NL, partners in the UK and Australia.
• Live in Randstad or can travel to Rotterdam.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire product from database to screen, and from idea to production.
• Ship live with customers on three continents within a month.
• Develop AI-native features using Claude Code or Codex and ensure quality.

A contact centre succeeds or fails on having the right people at the right time. Yet most teams still plan in Excel, because the big workforce management suites are expensive and heavy. Teamlead makes it simple: AI forecasting, automatic scheduling and real-time insight in one app a team lead can use without training. Our customers are in the Netherlands, the UK, Australia and the US. More and more, we reach them through contact centre platforms that build Teamlead into their own product. We build it with a small, ambitious team from the Groot Handelsgebouw in Rotterdam.

Where we are heading

Our ambition is big: Teamlead becomes the standard planning layer that contact centre platforms worldwide build into their product. Every platform we connect makes us more attractive to the next. And AI becomes the heart of the product: forecasts that improve themselves and schedules that optimise themselves.

The role

You become one of our two developers and own the whole product, from database to screen and from idea to production. What you build is live with customers on three continents within a month. We work AI-native: you build with agents such as Claude Code or Codex and own the quality of what they produce.

What you will build

• Our AI scheduling engine, which builds schedules from the forecast, skills, availability and leave, and which can also be queried in Claude or Copilot through MCP
• Forecasting on live call data from contact centre platforms
• Real-time integrations that show who is available right now
• New integrations with contact centre platforms and HR systems: every integration opens a new market
• AI features that help planners make better decisions
• New features in our Django back end and React front end, from design to release
• A secure and accessible platform, and root-cause fixes when customers report an issue

What you will learn

• You work on everything: back end, front end, integrations, AI and the cloud environments in Europe, the UK and Australia
• You work directly with the developers of our partner platforms
• You learn through code reviews and by designing solutions together with your fellow developer
• You learn to build AI-native on a product that runs in production every day
• You grow into the owner of our technical choices and infrastructure

What we are looking for

• 2 to 3 years of experience as a developer, or less if you can show what you have built
• Experience with Python, ideally Django, and with React
• You build with AI agents such as Claude Code or Codex every day and know when not to trust them
• You learn fast and look for the best solution, not just the quickest
• You work independently and take ownership of what you deliver
• Good Dutch and English: our customers are in the Netherlands, our partners in the UK and Australia
• You live in the Randstad or can easily travel to Rotterdam

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, AWS, Docker or Terraform
• Experience with API integrations and webhooks
• An interest in planning or optimisation problems

What we offer

• €4,000 to €5,000 gross per month, depending on experience
• 32 to 40 hours a week, by agreement
• 8% holiday allowance and 25 days of leave
