About the Role

You’ll join a leading provider of turnkey food processing and packaging systems. Your focus will be on PLC programming and commissioning, enabling seamless operation across integrated snack and potato line systems—from peelers to fryers, seasoning, distribution conveyors, and packaging modules.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, and optimize PLC control logic for industrial snack-processing lines.
Work with Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley, or similar platforms to integrate modules across production systems.
Implement SCADA/HMI, data collection, and remote monitoring tools.
Assist in on-site commissioning, system debugging, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, electronics technicians, and Food Technology Center specialists on control system integration.
Provide system documentation, operator training, and support for maintenance teams.

Ideal Candidate

Strong background in industrial automation—PLC programming and commissioning for food-processing or packaging equipment.
Hands-on experience with modular production lines—destoning, peeling, cutting, frying, seasoning, distribution, and packaging.
Familiarity with industry-standard PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), SCADA, and network communication.
Problem-solver with keen attention to detail during commissioning and testing phases.
Excellent communication in English and/or Dutch, enabling collaboration across engineering and technical teams.
Available for a 9-month freelance contract, flexible for work across multiple client sites within the Randstad.
