Job summary

The Kingfish Company is seeking an experienced Freelance Electrical Technician to support our Technical Department during a site expansion at Zeeland near Kats. You will perform maintenance and improvements on electrical installations, drives, and PLC-controlled processes in a highly automated aquaculture setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installations, motors, drives, and control systems.
• Experience working with PLC-controlled processes.
• Ability to work independently and proactively identify solutions.
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• VCA certification is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage.
• Registered self-employed professional (ZZP) or equivalent freelance contractor.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive electrical maintenance.
• Catch up on outstanding electrical work and modifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults.
• Work with PLC-controlled systems, including analog and digital I/O.
• Maintain and commission frequency drives and electric motors.
• Support improvement and optimization projects.
• Assist with electrical installations related to expansion projects.
• Perform ad hoc engineering and modification work where required.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
