Qualifications

Job description

You will proactively support the site management team by providing leadership, demonstrating, and promoting responsible attitudes towards HSE, implementing best practices with regard to HSE standards, and contributing to the overall business HSE strategy.

The EHS Coordinator will coordinate with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) internal workforce and external contractors to ensure that a suitable and sufficient Safe System of Work is in place prior to work being undertaken and will liaise with site managers to monitor adherence during the execution of work.

The HSE Coordinator ensures that SGRE and their contractors comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety legislation, SGRE standards, and customer and site requirements.

  • Recognized HSE qualification (e.g., HVK, NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent)
  • Several years of experience in an HSE role within the Wind Turbine Construction or Maintenance industry
  • High proficiency in English, including technical English for communication with foreign colleagues, customers, and subcontractors, and for reading corporate documentation; Dutch language skills are a plus
  • Personal qualities: Rigorous, autonomous, team-oriented, committed, and flexible, with strong scheduling, communication, listening, and leadership skills. Exemplary in HSE practices.
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
  • Highly motivated, self-starting, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with office and cloud-based software
  • This position is office-based (Monday-Friday), with no rotational shifts, but will require regular offshore visits with the operational team
  • The role requires applicants to be fit to work offshore and comfortable working at heights
  • Preferred skills: GWO (Global Wind Organization) Training Package
  • Experience in HSE incident case management, e.g., TapRooT RCA (Root Cause Analysis), is an advantage
