Job summary

Socials Matter is seeking a Freelance Creative Content Assistant based in the Netherlands to collaborate across client projects in restaurants, hospitality, lifestyle, supplements, wellness and luxury.

You’ll develop ideas with the Creative Director, research trends, create mood boards, and shoot social content on a smartphone, including quick Reels and TikToks.

Freelance Creative Content Assistant

Netherlands | Freelance | On Location

We’re looking for a Freelance Creative Content Assistant based in the Netherlands to work with us across a range of client projects.

We work with brands across restaurants, hospitality, lifestyle, supplements, wellness and luxury, so we’re looking for someone creative who can adapt to different brands and styles.

This role is a mix of creative thinking, research, content creation and hands-on support.

You’ll work closely with our Creative Director, helping develop ideas and concepts before shoots, then helping bring those ideas to life through content.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Researching creative ideas, trends and references
• Brainstorming content concepts and ideas
• Creating mood boards and visual references
• Finding inspiration for upcoming campaigns and shoots
• Helping develop concepts into ideas we can actually film
• Researching locations, talent, props and other production needs
• Preparing references and ideas before shoots
• Assisting with selected client meetings
• Assisting on content shoots
• Filming social content using a phone
• Capturing behind the scenes content during shoots
• Filming natural moments, people, products and environments
• Creating simple Reels and TikToks using phone-shot content
• Helping create quick social content when needed
• Supporting the Creative Director with day-to-day creative tasks

What We’re Looking For

• Must currently be based in the Netherlands
• Able to travel to Amsterdam and other locations for meetings and shoots
• Creative with a strong eye for content
• Confident filming high-quality social content using a smartphone
• Good understanding of framing, lighting and capturing content for Reels and TikTok
• Interested in social media, branding, photography and video
• Good at researching and finding strong visual references
• Comfortable contributing ideas and brainstorming
• Understands Instagram, TikTok and short form content
• Organised and able to work independently
• Comfortable working across different types of brands
• Professional camera and photography experience is a plus, but not essential

You don’t need to be the most experienced person. Having a good eye, understanding content and bringing strong ideas is more important to us.

This will start as flexible freelance work, with the opportunity for more regular projects and responsibility if we work well together.
