Job summary

Unilabs is seeking a strong finance leader to head the FP&A function for the Netherlands, reporting to the CFO and guiding a team of five financial business partners. You will partner with the country leadership team and oversee budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning across our Dutch operations.

You will perform detailed variance analyses of P&L and cash flows, monitor trends, provide ad‑hoc analyses and business cases, and drive data quality and governance to enable data‑driven decision

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance or related field.
• 5+ years leading FP&A teams.
• 10+ years FP&A, controlling and financial analysis.
• Experience with BI/reporting tools and financial planning systems.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders across the organization.
• Experience in international medical or matrix organizations.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the FP&A team (5 direct reports).
• Lead improvements of FP&A processes such as budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning.
• Perform detailed variance analyses of P&L and cash flow statements and explain results clearly.
• Monitor financial trends, risks and opportunities across the Dutch operations.
• Support senior leadership with ad-hoc analyses, business cases and investment evaluations.

As our manager for the Financial Planning & Analysis department, you will lead a team of five financial business partners and report directly to the CFO of Unilabs Netherlands. You will lead the business partnering with the country leadership team and oversee planning processes oversight across our Dutch operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Financial Planning and Analysis team (5 direct reports)
• Lead and drive improvements of the FP&A processes such as budgeting and forecasting, and long‑term financial planning
• Perform detailed variance analyses of profit and loss and cashflow statements, identify the drivers behind performance, and explain the results in an accessible manner
• Monitor and interpret financial trends, risks and opportunities
• Support senior leadership with ad‑hoc analysis, business cases, investment evaluations and strategic projects
• Challenge assumptions, provide recommendations, and support data‑driven decision making
• Contribute to improving data quality and financial data governance

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Business economics, Accounting or related field
• 5+ years experience in leading and developing FP&A teams
• 10+ years' experience in FP&A, controlling and financial analysis
• Strong financial modelling and analytic skills and experience with BI/reporting tools and financial planning systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across the organization
• Experience working in international medical or matrix organizations
• Fluent in Dutch and English
