You provide forward-looking analysis on business performance, support planning and forecasting processes, and develop management information that helps the organisation understand key performance drivers, risks and opportunities. You also prepare and review business cases and contribute financial insights to investment and business development decisions and longer-term strategic planning.

Data and digitalisation form an important part of the role. You will use data analytics and visualisation to improve the quality and accessibility of management information and to develop our FP&A capabilities.

In addition, you will identify opportunities to improve Finance processes and ways of working. This makes the role a combination of financial analysis, business partnering, strategic thinking and continuous improvement.

You combine strong analytical capabilities with sound business judgement. You are curious, results-oriented and comfortable working with large amounts data, and are equally capable of translating your analysis into a clear message for management.

You enjoy working across organisational boundaries, and challenging and supporting stakeholders. You are a conceptual thinker who sees the bigger picture while maintaining attention to detail. An interest in digitalisation, automation and continuous improvement is important for succeeding in this role.

Furthermore, you bring:
  • A BSc or MSc degree in Business Economics, Finance or a related field; a professional qualification such as CMA, CFA or RC is an advantage
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in FP&A, business control, (strategy) consulting, or a comparable role, preferably within a large and complex project-based organisation
  • Proven experience analysing large datasets and creating insights using Power BI or comparable tools
  • Strong affinity with data analytics, digitalisation and financial modelling
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • An interest in the maritime and/or civil engineering sector
  • A strong command of English, both written and spoken

A challenging position in which you will play an important role in the further development of the FP&A within Van Oord. You will have the opportunity to further develop this position within the company and we offer you the freedom to further develop your personal competences.

  • A salary that matches your responsibilities and experience
  • Attractive travel allowance (€0.31 per km) and home working allowance (€2.45 per day)
  • 32 holidays (of which a maximum of 7 are collective)
  • Variable bonus, partly dependent on company results
  • Attractive pension scheme
  • Option for collective health insurance (Van Oord pays for your supplementary package)
  • Flexible home working arrangement; on a full-time basis, you can work from home 2 days a week
  • Extensive development opportunities, including a comprehensive online academy via Goodhabitz
