Job summary

MarvelX AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to own customer delivery end-to-end, from post-signature through production and expansion. You will build integrations, tune agents, and manage critical milestones with senior stakeholders in a regulated industry.

You will ship code, configure workflows, and drive PoCs to production, ensuring customer success and measurable impact on ARR. This role combines hands-on development with high-stakes delivery ownership in Europe and the US.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software delivery, solutions, or forward-deployed engineering.
• Proficient in Python or TypeScript with API integrations.
• AI-native experience using LLMs and agents in production; explain decisions in business terms.
• Comfort with senior stakeholders and ambiguity; bring structure to conversations.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy customer integrations yourself: REST APIs, webhooks, data mappings, connectors into core insurance systems.
• Configure and tune agents per customer: business rules encoding, workflow configuration, benchmark cycles.
• Debug production issues at the customer edge and fix what you can before escalating.
• Own the transition from Sales to Delivery, validating scope, KPIs, and success criteria.
• Lead PoC and production execution; run structured customer rituals: kickoffs, delivery check-ins, exec reviews, go-lives.
• Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and escalations, and act early.

Role Overview

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at MarvelX, you'll own customer delivery end-to-end, from post-signature through production and expansion, and you'll build the integration yourself.

You operate at the intersection of customers, Product, and Engineering. Once a deal is signed, delivery is yours: outcomes, timelines, scope, customer trust, and the code that connects our platform to their systems.

This is hands-on in the literal sense. You'll sit in the customer's weekly, understand what their claims handlers or underwriters are really asking, then deploy the connector, wire the webhook, and tune the agent yourself, without pulling the core engineering team off the product.

This is not a support role. This is not a coordination role. You ship, and you own what you ship.

Key Responsibilities

Technical execution

• Build and deploy customer integrations yourself: REST APIs, webhooks, data mappings, connectors into core insurance systems.

Stakeholder & scope management

• Primary delivery owner for senior customer stakeholders (Director / VP / C-level), and equally credible in the room with their engineers.
• Manage expectations, push back on scope creep, protect outcomes and trust.

Commercial impact

• Own PoC success with a clear focus on conversion to production.
• Identify expansion opportunities through delivery; feed learnings back into Product, Engineering, and GTM.

Who You Are

• An engineer who moved toward customers, or a delivery operator who never stopped building. You write and ship code (Python or TypeScript, APIs, integrations) and you run a boardroom-quality meeting, both, genuinely.
• 4+ years across software delivery, solutions or forward-deployed engineering, or technical implementation of B2B platforms.
• AI-native: you use LLMs and agents in your own daily work, and you can explain what an agent decided in business language, no model talk.
• Comfortable with senior stakeholders and with ambiguity; your structure shows up live in the conversation, not in a deck afterwards.
• Strong ownership mindset: outcomes, not tasks.
• Insurance or regulated-industry experience is a plus, not a requirement.
