Ahold Delhaize is seeking a Fixed Assets Accountant to join our European Shared Services finance team. You will manage fixed asset postings, depreciation, capitalization decisions, and reconciliations within a multinational retail group.

The role emphasizes accuracy, independence, and adherence to accounting standards. We offer a hybrid setup with international exposure and opportunities for professional growth.

Competenze

• Level IV qualification (secondary education), degree in Economics or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in similar positions.
• Strong understanding of business and administrative processes.
• Ability to work accurately, independently, and in a deadline-driven environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP), Pivot Tables.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Mansioni

• Knowledge of accounting principles and independent journal posting.
• Recording and accounting of fixed assets.
• Depreciation calculation and understanding of useful asset life.
• Cost capitalization and the ability to distinguish CAPEX from OPEX.
• Asset capitalization, disposal, and write-off processes.
• Reconciliation of the fixed asset register with the general ledger.
• Understanding of the General Ledger (GL), account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP is an advantage.
• Identify and resolve common accounting discrepancies.
• Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.
