Zusammenfassung

CowManager is hiring a Firmware Engineer to design, develop and optimize firmware for sensors and embedded networks. You will work across bare-metal and RTOS platforms, using C and Python, in a multidisciplinary team on energy-efficient solutions and wireless protocols. Strong English and 5+ years in embedded software are required.

The role offers growth in a fast-growing, global agricultural tech company with a hands-on farm-office setting in Harmelen, Netherlands.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong knowledge of C and Python.
• Experience with low-power embedded systems.
• Knowledge of wireless communication (802.15.4, Zigbee, Bluetooth).
• Experience with FreeRTOS, Zephyr or Embedded Linux.
• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics.
• Experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Good command of English.

• Designing, developing and maintaining firmware for sensors and network components.
• Developing software primarily in C and Python.
• Working on energy-efficient embedded solutions.
• Implementing and optimizing wireless communication protocols.
• Developing software for bare-metal systems and RTOS platforms.

• Supporting testing, validation and quality improvements.
• Collaborating with hardware engineers, software developers, testers and product management.
• Contributing to architecture choices and future technical developments.
