Job summary

MR PORTER STEAKHOUSE, part of THE ENTOURAGE GROUP, is a fine dining steakhouse in the Exchange building and the W Amsterdam. Waiters play a key role in taking orders, serving food and drinks, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a vibrant, high-energy setting.

Candidates should have strong English, excellent customer service, teamwork, and the ability to handle allergies, payments, and table cleanliness. Amsterdam-based applicants preferred with flexibility for commuting.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to address guest needs effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively with chefs, barbacks and bartenders to ensure smooth dining experiences.
• Must be able to fully communicate in English.
• Residence in Amsterdam or nearby with flexible commuting.

Responsibilities

• Taking orders and adding them to the till system, answering questions, and making menu-based recommendations.
• Providing high-quality guest service and resolving issues to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Serving food and drinks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensuring safe dining by effectively communicating and addressing allergies.
• Addressing and resolving guest complaints to maintain satisfaction.
• Handling payments, including calculating bills and processing cash/credit transactions.
