Job summary

Mploy Associates in the Netherlands invites graduates to join as Financial Controllers on client projects, with a structured Talent Program to fast-track to medior+ within 24 months. You will contribute to planning, control and management information, while benefiting from certified training, coaching and a €2,000 external development budget for FRM or CFA certifications.

On average 36 hours per week on client work plus 4 hours for development, with lunch, social events and travel support,

You will work as a Financial Controller for one of our clients with a special focus on your own development through one of our Talent Programs. Our Talent Programs are designed to accelerate your career from entry-level to medior+ level within 24 months. By means of certified training courses, coaching and intervision sessions our employees follow an above-average steep career curve. Successful graduation in our Talent Programs usually results in a permanent medior+ or senior position at one of our clients or where it becomes your responsibility to keep the team successful.

Your activities as a Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller, you will become a hub at one of our clients and will ensure that they continuously improve their planning and control cycle. You contribute to management information for the decision-making of the statutory and business unit boards. You think along in improving the processes and proactively produce improvement proposals. Your day-to-day activities include:

• Providing financial result presentations, analyses and advice to relevant stakeholders;


• Actively developing relationships with the business departments and acting as a trusted advisor by supporting the product leads with strategic analysis to steer the business;


• Proactively looking for ways to improve the reporting content and format, keeping this relevant in the fast-changing environments of our clients;


• Being involved in the overall budgeting and forecasting process;


• Being responsible for providing accurate forward-looking financial plans for a broad range of cost/income drivers.

On average you work 36 hours a week on a client project and you spend 4 hours a week on your own personal, professional and technical development in one of our Talent Programs.

• You have 0-3 years of work experience and want to learn everything about controlling;


• You want to put the skills into practice that you have acquired during your master’s in Finance, Accountancy, Economics or another related study;


• You are passionate about numbers and data and always see opportunities for improvement;


• You do not hesitate to use your analytical skills to solve complex problems in a creative and logical way.
