Job summary

Rituals seeks a Financial Controller for our Dutch corporate entities, focusing on the Amsterdam Central Head Office. You will support month-end procedures, assist in group financial statements, audits and VAT compliance while collaborating with accounting staff.

You will analyze P&L and balance sheet variances and dive into ad hoc issues used in monthly and quarterly reporting. This is an international finance team role with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as financial controller or external auditor.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Eligible to work in The Netherlands (working permit).
• A HBO/WO degree in accounting or finance.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Grounded, approachable personality.
• Critical yet constructive and positive approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical review of the P&L and balance sheet, investigate variances and validate numbers.
• Deep dive into variances and ad hoc issues for monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Execute month-end procedures in close collaboration with accounting assistants.
• Assist in the preparation of group financial statements, external audits, and VAT/tax compliance.
