Job summary

Maven 11, founded in Amsterdam, is seeking a Finance & Operations Intern to support day-to-day financial administration and reporting. You will work closely with the Finance & Operations Manager, gaining exposure to audits, processes, and AI-driven improvements.

You are pursuing an MBO or HBO in Finance/Accounting and bring Dutch fluency, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of Dutch GAAP RJ. The role offers a 6-month, 40-hour workweek with a €650 gross monthly internship allowance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an MBO or HBO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Professional fluency in Dutch and strong Excel skills.
• Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP (RJ); IFRS or US GAAP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day financial administration and operations across the Maven 11 Group.
• Assist with recurring finance and accounting processes.
• Support financial reporting and period-end activities.
• Assist with audits of investment funds and other entities.
• Help document and improve internal finance processes.
• Explore AI and automation opportunities within finance workflows.
• Contribute to the development and professionalization of the finance department.
• Collaborate on ad hoc finance and operational projects with the Finance & Operations Manager.

Founded in Amsterdam in 2017, Maven 11 is a global venture capital firm dedicated entirely to blockchain and crypto markets. Through our Venture and Yield Funds, we back the protocols, platforms, and financial infrastructure shaping the future of global finance and decentralized technology.

As Maven 11 continues to grow, we are further strengthening and professionalizing our internal finance function. We are looking for a Finance & Operations Intern who enjoys working with numbers, has a strong eye for detail, and is eager to learn how finance operates within an international crypto investment firm.

About the job

You will work closely with and report directly to the Finance & Operations Manager, a Dutch Chartered Accountant (RA) with five years of Big Four audit experience.

You will support the day-to-day financial operations across the Maven 11 Group, while receiving hands-on guidance and gradually taking on more responsibility.

Beyond the day-to-day finance activities, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that are shaping how we build our finance function. This includes exploring and implementing AI solutions within our finance workflows, supporting the audits of our investment funds, improving and documenting internal processes, and helping us further build and professionalize the finance department.

The role therefore combines hands-on financial experience with the opportunity to learn how a finance function is built and operated within a fast-moving crypto investment firm.

Who you are

• Background: You are currently pursuing an MBO or HBO degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Requirements: Professional fluency in Dutch, strong Excel skills, and solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP (RJ). (Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP is a plus!)
• Detail-Oriented & Analytical: You love working with numbers, value precision, and always want to understand the "why" behind the process.
• Proactive Communicator: You speak up, ask questions when stuck, flag issues early, and keep the team updated on your progress.
• Takes Ownership: You take pride in your work and reliably follow tasks through from start to finish.
