Capital C is an Amsterdam organization for workplaces and events, with locations in the Diamond Exchange and on the Flower Market at the Singel. We rent out offices, organize around 150 events a year in the Diamond Exchange, have a restaurant, and host groups. Our buildings are distinctive, with meeting rooms designed by artists and designers and our own Gallery. We are in the middle of a professionalization effort. For this, we are looking for a Finance Manager who does not wait for someone to tell them what needs to be done, but sees what is needed and takes care of it themselves. Someone who contributes to Capital C’s direction as a member of the management team and also rolls up their sleeves.

• You are a full member of the management team: you think along about investments and growth based on the figures, and speak up if something is not right
• You deliver reliable figures promptly: budgets, forecasts, monthly reports by segment, and you review the annual accounts
• You keep a close eye on cash flow and liquidity and are the point of contact for the accountant and the bank
• In your first months, you draw up a plan for the finance function and put it into practice
• Together with building management and facilities, you draw up the budget and monitor expenses, including the financial justification for maintenance and investments
• You improve financial processes and systems, choosing what works over what is perfect

• Self-directed: you do not need guidance to get moving. You take things on yourself and keep the director informed
• A pioneer: you see opportunities and risks earlier than others and come with proposals, not questions
• Fast: you work at a high pace and switch easily between the big picture and the details of an invoice or contract
• Hands-on: you set the direction and carry out the financial work yourself together with the finance employee, from month-end closing to forecasting
• You have a higher professional or university degree in finance or business economics
• You have extensive experience as a finance manager, preferably in hospitality, real estate, flexible workspaces, or events
• You speak and write Dutch and English excellently
