Job summary

nLighten HQ BV is seeking a Finance Manager to strengthen the finance function across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Zurich. This is a strategic leadership role acting as a key financial partner to the business in a fast‑growing, international setting.

You will oversee forward-looking financial planning and accounting oversight, ensuring robust processes and strong control across multiple jurisdictions, with 1–2 direct reports in a small team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of finance experience, with strong reporting fundamentals.
• Experience in a scale-up or fast-growing international environment.
• Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in audit or Big 4 is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial control, reporting, and multi-entity structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead business partnership activities for the Northern Region, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning.
• Oversee accounting operations for the Northern region ensuring strong financial control.
• Contribute to improvement of group-wide processes, systems, and reporting structures in a scale-up environment.
• Manage cash flow monitoring and working capital optimisation, collaborating with Billing, Sales, and Operations teams.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support financial processes and communication.
• Support and develop a small finance team (1–2 direct reports).
• Report directly to the Group Financial Controller and contribute to group-level financial initiatives.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to strengthen our finance function across key markets including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Zurich.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role. You will act as a key financial partner to the business, driving performance insight, ensuring financial governance, and supporting decision-making across a fast-scaling international environment.

You will oversee both forward-looking financial planning and elements of accounting oversight, ensuring robust financial processes and strong control across multiplejurisdictions.

This role is based in the Netherlands and will support the broader Northern European region.

WhatWe’reLooking For

• 10+ years of experience in finance, ideally with a strongreportingfoundation
• Background in a scale-up or fast-growing international environment is essential
• Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience in audit or Big 4 environment is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of financial control, reporting, and multi-entity structures
• Proven experience working across geographically distributedorganisations
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business insight
• Comfortable operating in both strategic and hands-on capacities
• Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics is a strong plus
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage but not mandatory
