Job summary

Hef Associates seeks a Finance-focused Business Consultant to help CFOs and accounting teams transform messy financial data into clean, real-time reporting. You will guide onboarding and ongoing support, ensuring accurate journal entries and reliable ledgers.

You will build dashboards with Power BI, identify data mismatches, and propose fixes. English fluency is essential; Dutch is a plus. Amsterdam-based, growth-oriented environment with autonomy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in accounting, audit, finance, or e-commerce.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and double-entry accounting.
• Interest in reconciliation and order-to-cash processes.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, able to explain financial processes clearly.
• Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of customers and guide onboarding and beyond.
• Journalize transactions accurately so ledgers reflect reality.
• Spot mismatches in payment or ERP data and advise on root-cause fixes.
• Build dashboards with insights that help customers make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with Technical Consultants to solve data and integration challenges.
• Share learnings from customers to improve the product.
