Air Liquide zoekt een Finance Business Partner Benelux die lokaal operaties koppelt aan strategische financiële sturing. Je werkt met de SSC in Lissabon en bewaakt IFRS, compliance en interne controles terwijl je reconciliatie en consolidatie ondersteunt.

De rol vereist 2–5 jaar ervaring in financiële boekhouding, een Bachelor in Accounting/Finance en sterke communicatie in het Nederlands en Engels. Reizen binnen de Benelux is mogelijk.

Qualifications

• Minimaal hbo/wo-niveau in accounting of finance.
• CPA is een plus maar geen vereiste.
• 2–5 jaar ervaring in financiële boekhouding, GL of financiële verslaggeving.

Responsabilités

• Ondersteunt de Benelux Hoofd Financiën als strategisch financieel steunpunt voor lokale entiteiten.
• Beheert balansreikin en synchroniseert met SSC in Lissabon; escalaties en operationele boekhouding.
• Zorgt voor lokale naleving, belastingcompliance en IFRS-standaarden; contactpunt voor auditors en belastingautoriteiten.
• Draagt bij aan rapportages en consolidatiepakketten die in lijn zijn met lokale jaarrekening.
• Streeft samen met lokale teams naar procesverbeteringen in ERP-workflows en betalingsverkeer.

As our Finance Business Partner Benelux, you bridge local operational reality with strategic financial steering, safeguarding compliance and enabling sustainable home healthcare across Belgium and the Netherlands.

Your Role & Core Responsibilities

Supporting the Benelux Head of Finance (CFO), you will serve as the strategic financial cornerstone for our local entities, bridging the gap between local Benelux operations and our Shared Service Centre (SSC) in Lisbon.

• SSC & Operations Bridge: Act as the main country interface for Lisbon’s SSC—managing escalations, clarifying daily instructions, and troubleshooting operational accounting issues. You will conduct periodic review of the balance sheets items to ensure accuracy and support on resolution of discrepancies.
• Local Compliance & Accounting Ownership: Safeguard local regulations, tax compliance, and Group IFRS. You own local accounting activities (such as balance sheet reviews, bank relations, and physical inventory checks) and serve as the key contact for Auditors and Tax Authorities.
• Approvals & Governance: Hold country sign-off authority for critical financial flows (including VAT, payments, and reimbursement claims) while upholding internal control frameworks.
• Reporting & Group Consolidation : Ensure timely, accurate group consolidation reporting packages that reconcile seamlessly with local statutory accounts.
• Continuous Improvement: Partner with local teams, the SSC, and IT to optimize ERP workflows, banking interfaces, and day-to-day finance systems.

Ben jij de juiste persoon voor deze functie?

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA is a plus) with 2 to 5 years of experience in financial accounting, GL, or financial reporting.
• Technical Skills: Strong grounding in accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and internal controls (SOX), alongside solid ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Languages: Professional fluency in Dutch and English (French is an asset).
• Mobility: Willingness to travel within the Benelux region (~2–3 days per month between Zemst and Lelystad).
• Mindset: An analytical, proactive communicator who enjoys solving operational bottlenecks and driving accuracy.
