Job summary

Farmless in Amsterdam offers a six-month, full-time hardware internship focused on building fermentation machines. You’ll join a small team, own a central project end-to-end, and move from concept to commissioning in a production-like environment.

You’ll design and integrate a central thermal skid, a continuous treatment reactor, and a CIP system while also revamping lines and connecting tanks, manifolds and frames. Hands-on welding and fabrication are required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant engineering program for the duration of the internship.
• Willingness to work across workshop, pilot plant and kitchen environments.
• Ability to design, build and commission hardware in a real production setting.
• Open to visa sponsorship where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate a central thermal skid for precise thermal loads.
• Convert a batch step to a continuous process (PFR or CSTR).
• Design and build a full CIP system for automated cleaning.
• Rebuild and connect line equipment for continuous flow.
• Own the project end-to-end and collaborate across teams.
