Looking for a hands‑on internship where you learn how a hotel really runs behind the scenes? Our Housekeeping Supervisor internship might be exactly what you're looking for! We’re searching for a full‑time intern at our ID Aparthotel in Amsterdam.
It all began in Sloterdijk, when our founders adopted an office building and transformed it into our first apartment‑hotel. Since then, we've hosted over 100,000 guests from more than 40 countries here. Some have called us 'home' for months, while others stay just for a weekend. We're their little corner of Amsterdam, for as long as they need us. It was at Amsterdam ID Aparthotel that we perfected our signature warm feeling. The feeling that turns guests into lifelong friends. That feeling is the basis for our company and what we aim to deliver to colleagues and guests every day, in every property.
As a Housekeeping Supervisor Intern, you are right in the middle of the operation. This is not a “watch and learn” internship, you will actively support the daily coordination of the housekeeping department.
Your day starts with a morning briefing together with the housekeeping manager and supervisors. You’ll review priorities: arrivals, departures, long‑stay guests, and any special requests. Together, you make sure the right people are in the right place.
During the day, you’re on the floor. You check rooms, support the team, and help solve operational challenges. A room not ready on time? A guest request that needs immediate action? You step in and make it happen.
You’ll also work closely with external staff and supervisors. This means learning how to communicate clearly, give feedback, and ensure everyone works according to our standards.
At the same time, you’ll develop a strong eye for detail. You’ll learn what “hotel‑ready” really means, not just clean, but consistent, efficient, and guest‑focused.
In our flat organization, within an informal working atmosphere, your ideas are highly valued.
