Job summary

Resthaven is a not-for-profit, faith-based organization committed to enriching the lives of older adults. The Facilities & Grounds Assistant role supports both exterior and interior environments on the Resthaven campus, ensuring clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities include groundskeeping, basic maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry support, with a strong emphasis on safety, compassion, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to operate lawn care and snow-removal equipment.
• Strong communication and compassion when working with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, and other landscaping features.
• Plant, water, prune, weed, and maintain greenery seasonally.
• Operate lawn mowers and snow removal equipment safely.
• Assist with seasonal grounds needs and safety of walkways.
• Support basic facility maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Assist laundry, room setups, and general facility operations as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and report concerns.
