Job summary

Everience is seeking an experienced External Communications Manager to lead external communications, strengthen reputation, and drive growth in a dynamic energy-transition ecosystem. You will craft content, manage digital channels, and build strong stakeholder relationships across start-ups, research institutions and industry partners.

You will design strategies, execute campaigns, manage PR activities and monitor performance to generate awareness and leads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, PR, journalism, marketing or related field.
• Proven experience in external/corporate communications, PR or media.
• Strong ability to translate complex topics into clear communications.

We are looking for an experienced External Communications Manager.

About the Role:

As External Communications Manager , you will lead external communications activities, helping strengthen its reputation as a leading hub for open innovation and technology development in the energy transition.

You will develop and execute communication strategies, create engaging content, manage digital channels and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your work will help increase awareness, generate leads and support the growth of a vibrant ecosystem of start-ups, scale-ups, research institutions, industry partners and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute the external communications strategy and annual communications plan, with a focus on reputation building and lead generation.
• Manage external reputation and positioning in collaboration with relevant communications stakeholders.
• Create and publish compelling content across LinkedIn, YouTube and the website.
• Develop and maintain an editorial and content calendar aligned with business priorities.
• Support online lead generation through Google and LinkedIn Ads, working closely with external agencies.
• Manage PR activities, including media interviews, press releases and trade media engagement.
• Build relationships with campus members, technology teams, research partners and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to promote theinnovation, technology achievements and partnerships.
• Coordinate external communications activities and ensure appropriate review and approval processes are followed.
• Manage incoming communication requests and connect stakeholders with relevant subject matter experts.
• Develop communication materials for events, conferences and external engagements.
• Monitor communication performance and prepare monthly reports covering reach, engagement and lead generation.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in external communications, corporate communications, PR, media or public affairs.
• Strong experience creating content for digital and social media platforms.
• Experience managing content/editorial calendars.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical, business or scientific topics into clear and engaging communications.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with LinkedIn, YouTube, websites and digital marketing/advertising.
• Experience with Google Ads and/or LinkedIn Ads is an advantage.
• Experience in energy, technology, innovation, sustainability or research is highly desirable.
• Experience working with partnerships, ecosystems or multi-stakeholder organisations is a plus.

The ideal candidate is a senior communications professional who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You are comfortable developing communication strategies while also writing content, managing digital channels, coordinating PR activities and working directly with stakeholders.

You are proactive, commercially aware and able to communicate complex technical and innovation topics to different audiences.
