Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a highly analytical and mobility-ready professional to play a pivotal role in solving client problems across Europe. You will identify issues, form hypotheses, design analyses, and synthesize conclusions into actionable recommendations.

You’ll help develop strategies that support clients' objectives and gain exposure to capital excellence services. Based in one of our European offices, you’ll contribute to project implementations and capability-building initiatives

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and exceptional academics required.
• Broad experience in a capital excellence topic (e.g., capital projects, capital management systems, real estate, infrastructure, construction).
• Mobility and enthusiasm for taking on European assignments during the work week.

YOUR IMPACT

You will play an active role in problem solving for clients including identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing, and conducting analyses, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations. You’ll work with colleagues and clients from a wide range of business areas across Europe to develop strategies that support clients' business objectives and give them a competitive edge. You will carry out lean construction project implementations and capability building. As part of this, you’ll develop short- and long-term capability-building plans for all relevant levels of client leadership and McKinsey client service teams, with anticipated deliverables, outcomes, and required resources. You will also gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm. You will receive exceptional training, frequent coaching, and mentoring from colleagues and senior leaders on your teams. You will be based in one of our European offices as part of our Operations Practice. Our Operations Practice assists our clients in solving complex operational challenges. Blending strategic thinking with hands-on practicality, our teams of consultants and experts work to develop and implement operational strategies that solve our clients’ most critical problems. McKinsey’s Capital Excellence service line is part of our Operations Practice, providing clients with support and advising their management teams on strategic and operational questions relating to large construction projects. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Master’s degree and exceptional academics required
• Broad experience in a capital excellence topic (e.g., capital projects, capital management systems, real estate, infrastructure, construction)
• Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
• Mobility and enthusiasm for taking on European assignments during the work week
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and the local office language
