Job summary

Kramp Groep B.V. is seeking an Excise Duty Specialist to join its international compliance team.

You will be the go-to expert for excise matters, ensuring compliance and advising on cross-border goods flows across the Netherlands and Germany. The role combines day-to-day operational activities with opportunities to improve and professionalise excise processes, audits, and interactions with customs and tax authorities in a broad European context.

Qualifications

• Excise duties, EMCS, energy products, or lubricants knowledge is a strong advantage.
• Regulatory and classification knowledge with ability to read and translate excise legislation.
• Analytical and structured approach to complex regulations and risk identification.
• Excellent communication across teams and stakeholder management.
• Experience working across countries; English required; Dutch/German an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with European and local excise legislation
• Advising on excise-related aspects within international goods flows
• Improve processes and controls: Identify risks and opportunities and develop practical procedures, documentation and controls to make our excise processes more efficient and future-proof.
• Prepare for and support audits, inspections and interactions with customs and tax authorities, acting as a knowledgeable point of contact.
• Help establish the structure and ways of working for excise-related activities and identify improvement opportunities across the logistics teams in the Netherlands and Germany.
