Job summary

Utrecht University offers an EVPC residency in Veterinary Parasitology, conducted with Ghent University, Belgium. The programme spans about four years, combining clinical diagnostics, research, and teaching while engaging with national and international institutions.

You will train at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and VMDC/VPDC, contributing to parasitology diagnostics, laboratory research, and education for veterinary students and professionals. Collaboration is central.

Qualifications

• European degree in Veterinary Medicine (EAEVE approved)
• Experience in veterinary parasitology teaching and outreach would be an advantage
• Strong communication in an international environment

Responsibilities

• Complete an EVPC residency training programme.
• Participate in veterinary parasitology diagnostics and discuss results with clinicians.
• Conduct research and prepare peer‑reviewed publications.
• Contribute to teaching within bachelor and master programmes.
• Participate in national and international meetings and courses.
• Collaborate with national and international colleagues across disciplines.
