Job summary

Flow Traders is seeking a driven Event Specialist to join the Communications team in Amsterdam. You will transform decentralized events into a structured, measurable channel that strengthens brand visibility and supports strategic priorities.

You will lead end-to-end planning of conferences, client events, and internal engagements, centralize processes, manage budgets and vendors, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure high-quality, impactful events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years proven experience in event management or related field.
• Strong portfolio of corporate events is a plus.
• Demonstratable track record from concept through to delivery.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience managing budgets, vendors and venues.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong written communication for briefs and proposals.

Flow Traders is looking for a driven event specialist to join our dynamic Communications team in our Amsterdam office. You will be instrumental in transforming events from decentralized, ad-hoc activities into a structured, consistent, and measurable communications and marketing channel, that strengthens brand visibility, deepens relationships, and directly supports our strategic business priorities.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of corporate events, including conferences, client events, and internal engagement activities
• Centralize and standardize event planning processes across the firm, ensuring consistent quality and execution at every touchpoint
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholder management, aligning event objectives with business priorities and keeping all parties informed throughout
• Manage budgets, suppliers, venues, and external agencies, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality
• Transform the firm's approach to events into a structured and measurable communications channel that supports brand visibility and relationship building
• Oversee multiple events simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and deadlines with confidence and precision
• Implement best practices and frameworks that elevate the overall standard of event delivery across the organization
• Apply your creativity to deliver professional and engaging events

What you need to succeed

• University Degree
• 2+ years proven experience in event management, event marketing, or a related field. A strong portfolio of corporate events is a plus
• Demonstratable track record of planning and executing high-quality events from concept through to delivery
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
• Hands-on experience managing budgets, suppliers, venues, and external agencies
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear briefs, proposals, and event-related content
