Job summary

Stolt-Nielsen’s STC division seeks a Regional Ocean Procurement Lead for Europe to secure ocean freight services and build a robust regional procurement platform. You will work with global and regional teams and key suppliers to deliver cost-efficient, sustainable solutions across Europe.

You will develop supplier relationships, lead regional strategy execution, monitor market trends, and manage contracts across multiple countries to optimize cost and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or on-the-job experience with 5–10 years in relevant field.
• 5+ years freight procurement experience.
• Experience with tendering, contract negotiation, procurement, and freight platforms.
• Experience with the tank container industry is ideal.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be diplomatic and maintain a neutral approach in contentious situations.

Responsibilities

• Secure ocean freight services for STC’s customers at the most competitive cost in the region.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships and regional ocean strategy execution.
• Monitor market trends to optimize cost, service levels, and sustainability performance.
• Lead tendering, contract management and cross-departmental interactions with suppliers.
• Collaborate with global/regional teams and internal stakeholders across multiple countries.
• Champion sustainability within the region for the ocean category.
