Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a Cyber Counsel to join its Global Privacy & Data Protection team in Europe. Based in Europe, the role supports cybersecurity legal matters across the EMEA region and contributes to global initiatives.

The successful candidate will advise on regulatory requirements, governance, incident response, and data governance while coordinating with Security, Product, Legal, and Procurement teams. You will shape Lenovo's cybersecurity legal strategy, work on cutting-edge technology

Qualifications

Law degree and qualification to practice in at least one EU/EEA jurisdiction.
Approximately 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology, privacy, regulatory, or commercial legal practice.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity regulatory frameworks (NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act, DORA) and EU cyber legislation.
Experience reviewing and negotiating technology, security, and commercial agreements.
Excellent legal drafting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Advise business, security, product, and legal stakeholders on cybersecurity laws and emerging requirements (NIS2, CRA, DORA) and global frameworks.
Provide practical legal guidance on governance, risk management, resilience, disclosure, and supply chain security.
Review, draft, and negotiate cybersecurity and regulatory provisions in contracts as needed.
Partner with security teams to support compliance programs and governance.
Support privacy, incident response, investigations, and regulatory reporting activities.
Advise on cross-border data transfers, data localization, and government access considerations.
Monitor regulatory developments and provide timely guidance.
Collaborate with Product, Security, Government Affairs, Procurement, Privacy, and other stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
Support customer engagements, audits, privacy/security questionnaires, and RFPs.
Develop and deliver training and best practices on cybersecurity legal topics.
