Caldic is seeking an ESG Intern to join the Global ESG team in Rotterdam. This hybrid role offers hands‑on experience across sustainability, strategy, and digital transformation, with projects spanning climate, circularity, and supplier engagement.

The internship provides exposure to ESG analytics, dashboards, data visualization, and interaction with senior leaders across 40+ countries, enabling a practical understanding of sustainability within a global commerce context.

Responsibilities

• Support global ESG initiatives across climate, circularity, supply chain resilience, responsible sourcing, compliance, and reporting.
• Contribute to strategic projects including carbon footprinting, supplier engagement, ESG analytics, benchmarking, market intelligence, and sustainability innovation.
• Assist in developing digital ESG tools, dashboards, AI‑enabled workflows, internal platforms, and data‑driven decision making.

What You Will Do

• Support global ESG initiatives across climate, circularity, supply chain resilience, responsible sourcing, compliance, and reporting
• Contribute to strategic projects including carbon footprinting, supplier engagement, ESG analytics, benchmarking, market intelligence, and sustainability innovation
• Support the development of digital ESG tools, dashboards, AI-enabled workflows, internal platforms, and data-driven decision‑making capabilities
• Help prepare strategic materials for executive leadership, Board and ESG Committee discussions, customer meetings, supplier engagement, and external stakeholder communication
• Support sustainability disclosures, ratings, and certifications including EcoVadis, CDP, Science Based Targets initiative, and emerging regulatory frameworks
• Collaborate with teams across operations, procurement, commercial, supply chain, IT, finance, communications, and regional leadership across the globe
• Support engagement with suppliers, principals, customers, auditors, consultants, and industry associations
• Bring fresh thinking, challenge conventional approaches, and help identify innovative opportunities that accelerate business and sustainability performance

What We Are Looking For

• You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field
• You are passionate about sustainability, innovation, and solving complex business challenges
• You bring strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to structure information and connect strategic dots
• You are comfortable working with data, presentations, spreadsheets, and digital tools
• You are curious about emerging technologies such as AI, automation, digital platforms, and data visualization, and excited to experiment with new ways of working
• You have strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating across cultures, functions, and levels of seniority
• You are proactive, entrepreneurial, organized, and eager to take ownership
• Previous exposure to ESG frameworks, carbon accounting, consulting, project management, or digital tools is an advantage—but not required

• Support the development and execution of strategic ESG initiatives that bring the company’s sustainability ambition to life
